Paying with BNB (BNB Chain)

BNB on BNB Chain is among the cheapest ways to pay Claude Store: a transfer costs well under fifty cents and confirms in about a minute. It is a strong choice if you already keep funds on BNB Chain, which many Binance users do. Send over BEP-20 — the older BEP-2 network is a different thing and requires a memo.

Why BNB Chain is cheap and fast
BNB Chain produces blocks every few seconds and charges a fraction of Ethereum’s gas, so a transfer typically costs cents and settles in about a minute. For a payment of this size that is close to ideal — the fee stops being a consideration at all.
It is particularly convenient for Binance customers, who often already hold BNB for trading fees and can withdraw over BNB Chain without an extra conversion.
BEP-20 and BEP-2 are not the same network

A BEP-20 address is an Ethereum-style 0x address. BEP-2 addresses start with bnb1 and require a memo to be credited. If your withdrawal screen offers both, choose BEP-20. If it asks for a memo, you are on the wrong network.
The rule of thumb: our invoice never asks for a memo. If a memo field is required by the network you have selected, you have picked the wrong one — stop and switch to BEP-20.
BNB Chain addresses look like Ethereum addresses
Because BEP-20 uses the same address format as Ethereum, the two are easy to mix up. Sending BNB over Ethereum mainnet, or ETH over BNB Chain, means sending to an address that is not ours on that chain. Select the network deliberately rather than trusting that the address looks right.
Small amounts, real fees
Even with sub-dollar network fees, your exchange charges its own withdrawal fee and deducts it from the amount sent. Add it on top of the invoice total so the payment does not arrive short and trip a manual review.

Questions about paying with BNB
Is BNB the cheapest way to pay you?
It is among the cheapest, alongside Toncoin and Litecoin — all comfortably under a dollar. Toncoin is usually the very cheapest, but the difference at this scale is a few cents.
What is the difference between BEP-20 and BEP-2?
BEP-20 runs on BNB Smart Chain and uses 0x addresses with no memo. BEP-2 is the older Beacon Chain, uses bnb1 addresses, and requires a memo. We accept BEP-20 only.
My exchange is asking for a memo. What do I do?
Stop — you have selected BEP-2. Go back and choose BEP-20 (BNB Smart Chain). Our invoice never requires a memo, so a memo prompt always means the wrong network.
Can I send BNB over Ethereum because the address starts with 0x?
No. The address format is shared but the networks are separate. Pick BNB Smart Chain on the withdrawal screen regardless of what the address looks like.
Do I need extra BNB for gas?
From a self-custody wallet, yes — a small amount, typically a few cents. From an exchange the fee is handled at withdrawal.
