Paying with Litecoin (LTC)

Litecoin is one of the cheapest ways to pay Claude Store, at well under ten cents per transfer, settling in three to ten minutes. It behaves like Bitcoin but with faster blocks and negligible fees, which makes it a sensible middle ground. Do not send from a MWEB address — those private-transaction addresses are not supported by most payment processors.

Bitcoin’s mechanics without Bitcoin’s fees
Litecoin is technically close to Bitcoin, with two differences that matter here: blocks arrive roughly every two and a half minutes instead of ten, and fees are a rounding error rather than dollars. A payment typically settles in three to ten minutes for well under ten cents.
If you are comfortable with Bitcoin but do not want to wait forty minutes or pay five dollars, Litecoin does the same job at a fraction of the cost.
The MWEB warning
Litecoin has an optional privacy layer called MimbleWimble Extension Blocks, or MWEB. Addresses on it begin with ltcmweb, and most exchanges and payment processors cannot credit funds arriving from or sent to them. A payment routed through MWEB will typically not be detected.
Send from a standard Litecoin address — one beginning with L, M or ltc1 — and check the invoice address starts the same way. If your wallet offers an MWEB option, leave it switched off for this payment.

When Litecoin is the right choice
- You want near-zero fees but prefer a Bitcoin-like chain over a stablecoin.
- Your exchange charges less to withdraw LTC than USDT.
- You already hold LTC and would rather not convert.

Questions about paying with Litecoin
Why is Litecoin so much cheaper than Bitcoin?
Blocks arrive about four times more often and there is far less competition for space in them, so the fee auction settles at a much lower price. The same transfer that costs dollars on Bitcoin costs cents on Litecoin.
What is MWEB and why can I not use it?
MimbleWimble Extension Blocks are Litecoin’s optional privacy layer. Addresses start with ltcmweb, and most exchanges and processors cannot credit payments involving them. Use a standard L, M or ltc1 address instead.
Is Litecoin fast enough if I am in a hurry?
Three to ten minutes, so faster than Bitcoin and slower than Toncoin or BNB. If you need the code as quickly as possible, USDT on Tron or TON settles in about a minute.
Can the price move while my Litecoin payment confirms?
It can — Litecoin is not a stablecoin. The invoice is fixed-rate within its window, so the quoted LTC amount settles the order regardless.
Which address format should I send from?
Any standard one: L, M or ltc1. Native SegWit (ltc1) is marginally cheapest. Only MWEB addresses are a problem.
